Matthew Thielker
Matthew is a Nutrition Associate Advisor in the Center for Nutrition at USAID's Bureau for Resilience and Food Security. He is a registered dietitian and has a Master of Public Health. In addition to his primary duties of providing nutrition technical support to partner countries, Matthew serves as the Center for Nutrition's point of contact for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and supports efforts in the climate change and nutrition space. Prior to joining USAID, Matthew served as a Peace Corps health education volunteer in Cambodia 2016-18. His Peace Corps projects included building health center staff capacity in child growth monitoring and nutrition/IYCF education, and training 64 high school student volunteers to conduct nutrition and WASH outreach activities in surrounding villages.
