Crisis in Focus: Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine

Welcome to the Agrilinks Crisis in Focus landing page. This is a forum to share knowledge throughout the critical moments of our times.

This space will serve as a forum to highlight content that is critical to our work in agricultural development. How are your projects adapting to our changing world? What innovative solutions can we share with the community? How can we work together toward a zero hunger future in an increasingly complex world? These are the questions we hope to answer here.

Our current subject of focus is Russia’s invasion of Ukraine which presents significant challenges for the international agriculture community. Dramatic price increases are expected globally in the cost of fuel, fertilizer, and food. Russia’s unprovoked war in Ukraine is not only causing immense suffering for the Ukrainian people, it is also resulting in global food, fuel and fertilizer shortages and rising food prices around the world. This war is exacerbating already high levels of global food insecurity that have resulted from a combination of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate shocks, protracted conflict and humanitarian crises and above-average global food prices. View posts below for insight into the latest reporting on how this conflict is affecting global food security and nutrition. We thank our members for their work and contributions.

Email [email protected] if you have a submission for this collection. Currently, member posts with a focus on Ukraine will require additional approval.
