Md Hussain
Dr. Md. Gulam Hussain, citizen of Bangladesh, an expert in Fisheries and Aquaculture and Blue Economy having PhD in Aquaculture, M.Sc. in Aquaculture Management and B.Sc. in Fisheries (Honors). He did his PhD in 1992 from the Stirling University, Scotland, UK. He has >35 years of extensive professional experience in Blue Economy, Marine Fisheries and Aquaculture R & D in South and East Asia regions. Presently, he is Country Coordinator for Bangladesh of Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Fish, Mississippi State University, USA. Dr. Hussain was most recently involved, as Fisheries and Aquaculture Expert under European Union – Bangladesh (EU-BGD) joint collaboration on Blue Economy in Bangladesh and Fish Genetic Specialist with WorldFish Center, Bangladesh and South Asia. He was former Director General of Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute. He has published >120 peer reviewed scientific papers and technical reports in the field of my expertise.
