I am a senior manager for agriculture at UC-Berkeley's Center for Effective Global Action, working on the Agricultural Technology Adoption Initiative. Since 2008, the Agricultural Technology Adoption Initiative (ATAI) has funded more than fifty rigorous evaluations, the majority full-scale randomized controlled trials, addressing critical evidence gaps with robust, causal evidence. ATAI studies seek to advance practical understanding of the obstacles and opportunities critical to technology adoption for smallholders. The Center for Effective Global Action and the Abdul Latif Jemeel Poverty Action Lab jointly implement ATAI.
