From a young age, my curiosity and fascination with nature shaped my journey. My innate desire to observe and understand led me to pursue studies in conservation. As I delved into this field, I couldn’t help but notice the often misplaced blame directed towards smallholder farmers, who happened to reside closest to the precious conservation areas. This realization ignited a profound understanding within me – that the intricate balance of nature functions as a holistic system. Driven by this insight, I embarked on a path focused on empowering these farmers. My passion for sustainability within the realm of food systems guided me towards collaborating with farmer organizations in Sulawesi. My current roles revolves in empowering the smallholder cocoa and coffee farmers.
