Masemele Natural Farms Ltd is based in Mwanza Tanzania and raises pigs and chickens for local markets. Maize and sorghum are grown for inclusion in home made rations, the animals are bedded on a deep bedding system using a mixture of anything that will compost plus BioChar. This generates compost used as fertiliser for the crops. Tree crops are also grown for the animals e.g Moringa Oleifera and the aim of the farm is to be as self sustaining and as carbon neutral as possible.
