
Temina Mkumbwa
Temina Mkumbwa serves as Nutrition Coordinator for USAID Tanzania. She
works across offices to galvanize action on implementation of USAID’s Multi-
sectoral Nutrition Strategy. Temina acts as a key lead for USAID/Tanzania externally in the coordination of nutrition work and
messaging with the Prime Minister’s Office, Local Government Authorities, targeted donors and
organizations. She is the co-convener of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Donor Network in Tanzania and an active member of the Development Partners Group on Nutrition (35 member organizations) facilitating broader policy dialogue on nutrition between DPs and Government of
Tanzania towards successful implementation of the National Multi-sectoral Nutrition Action Plan.
Temina has more than 10 years’ experience of working with national and local governments at country
and regional level. Prior to joining USAID, she worked for Helen Keller International as Regional Program
Officer- Nutrition for Eastern, Southern and Central Africa. Temina holds a Master's Degree in Public
Health from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences.
