United States DC Liaison & SPS Policy Specialist Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture and Development

Mathilde Le Bon serves as the Washington, D.C. Liaison and SPS Policy Specialist for the Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture and Development (BIIAD). She also coordinates and initiates various meetings and partnerships with current and potential BIIAD partners based in DC, such as NGOs, government agencies, embassies, etc. Mathilde has experience with USDA-FAS and USAID funded projects, notably in Africa and has coordinated and facilitated various consultative meetings with partners and stakeholders. She has presented at two international conferences and co-authored in one journal article. She holds a B.S. in Wildlife Sciences (specializing in pre-Veterinary medicine) from Texas A&M University and is currently completing a master’s in international Affairs (MAIA) with a concentration in Development at George Washington University’s Elliott School for International Affairs. Originally from France and Mauritius, Mathilde is fluent in French and English.
