Michael Parr
Twenty years of diverse work experience leading economic development programs with a specialization in small business finance and development. For the past 15 years, I have worked for Fortune 200 agribusiness, Land O’Lakes, Inc., leading USAID funded projects and operations. My current role is Chief of Party for a $23 million enterprise acceleration program, coordinating public-private investment partnerships in the complex development context of post-conflict Sri Lanka. Prior to Sri Lanka, I was the Chief of Party on USAID-funded agribusiness capacity building program BACET, leveraging the capacity of local youth in Timor Leste to build economic stability through vocational agribusiness training. Earlier I directed USAID’s flagship, multi-country, Farmer-to-Farmer program; managed a Cooperative Development Program; and served as a corporate finance advisor for a USAID enterprise development and empowerment contract in South Africa, enabling access to finance and creating employment.
