Lavlu Mozumdar
Dr. Mozumdar is involved with teaching, supervising MS & PhD students’ research, and doing his research. He teaches sociology, rural sociology, and practices in community engagement at the undergraduate-, and sociology of rural development, rural poverty studies, and research methods in social sciences at the graduate (MS & PhD) level. He has 13 years of research experience, including 8+ years of experience in the women’s entrepreneurship development and management arena. Currently, his research interest extends to innovation processes and women empowerment in developing and emerging countries. As a research team member, especially gender and youth engagement specialist, he works for the project ‘Appropriate Scale Mechanization Innovation Hub (ASMIH) - Bangladesh Phase II’ funded by USAID (July 2020 – June 2023). Likewise, he is a research team member and leads the gender component of the project ‘Strengthening food safety TVET and higher education in Bangladesh’ funded by the Orange Knowledge Program of the Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education (NUFFIC) (June 2020 – December 2021). Furthermore, he was the principal investigator of differnt projects ‘Entrepreneurship in a challenging business environment’ funded by BAU (July 2019 – June 2021), Impacts of agro-technologies on farm performance funded by MoST, BGD (July 2020 – June 2021), and ‘Feminsation in char-land livelihood funded by the Nuffic-Niche-156 (March 2014 – May 2018). He has the experience of participating (paper presentation) and facilitating (reviewer of the papers) in different international seminars and conferences, including the 76th Academy of Management Annual Meeting (California, USA), the 26th IFAMA Annual World Conference (Aarhus, Denmark), European Academy of Management (EURAM) 2020 Annual Conference (Dublin, Ireland), and EURAM 2021 Annual Conference (Montreal, Canada). Based on his research, he has already published 18 more articles in peer-reviewed journals. Also, he is the reviewer of 7 international peer-reviewed and impact factor journals. Besides, he has the experience of participating in 4 national and 12 international training programs.
