
Katrin Glatzel
Dr. Katrin Glatzel is the Director of the Department of Policy Innovation at AKADEMIYA2063. Since July 2020, Dr. Katrin Glatzel is the Director of Policy Innovation at AKADEMIYA2063, where she leads and coordinates the institution’s activities in support of facilitating the identification, replication and scaling up of successful policies and strategies to further strengthen and accelerate progress towards food systems transformation, inclusive economic growth, and increased prosperity in Africa. She is also the program director of the Malabo Montpellier Panel. Prior to joining AKADEMIYA2063, she was a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute based in Dakar, Senegal. She previously worked as Policy and Research Officer at Imperial College London, where she continues to be a Visiting Researcher. She is also an Extraordinary Lecturer at the University of Pretoria’s Department of Agricultural Economics, Extension and Rural Development. Dr. Glatzel is a public policy and strategy specialist and holds a PhD in Environmental Research and Policy from Imperial College London, the MSc Public Management and Governance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in European Studies from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
