The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Current and Emerging Threats to Crops (CETC) is a five year initiative funded by the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pennsylvania State University through PlantVillage, a global platform. This platform approach result in an integrated system that enables collaborative research on novel approaches to monitor, predict and combat current and emerging threats in a climatic changed world.

We help alleviate poverty by improving smallholder farmers ability to combat crop biotic stressors (pests, diseases, weeds) and abiotic stressors( climate change). Our competitive research and capacity development projects is taking place in East/Southern Africa, West Africa, Asia and Central America. The program ensures gender equity, youth inclusion, increase research capacity and target innovative technologies.
