Dennis L. Erpelding founded Global Farm View, LLC in 2018 to provide strategic counsel to food chain stakeholders globally, in both the private and public sector. His consulting is focused on food security, global health security, agriculture innovation, sustainability, trade, and international market access. He has engaged strategically in the private sector with Boards, Executive leadership, and subject matter experts. In the government sector, he has engaged with Ministers and department leaders addressing policy development and implementation. He has spoken at numerous international and national governmental and private sector forums and meetings. Mr. Erpelding serves as the Science Advisor to the International Poultry Council and through that role as the IPC TRANSFORM Project Leader.  

Erpelding retired from Elanco, a division of Eli Lilly and Company, December 31, 2017 after over 28 years traveling globally engaging with governments and all food chain stakeholders advancing policy that supported innovation in the animal health sector.  Erpelding has broad experience formulating strategy and policies in the legislative, regulatory, food chain and scientific areas; including helping shape laws, regulations and policies in the Americas, Asia, and the European Union.  

A native of Whittemore, Iowa, U.S.A., Mr. Erpelding was raised on a diversified livestock and crop farm.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science from Iowa State University in 1981 and in 1989 he earned a Master of Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University.  From 1981 to 1987 Erpelding worked in the U.S. dairy industry, employed by the American Jersey Cattle Club and National All-Jersey, Inc., advocating for genetic improvement programs and component milk pricing.  He currently resides in Thailand and the United States of America.
