Feed the Future Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab

United States Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab Implemented by Tufts University

The Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab (FSN-IL) is a Feed the Future Initiative that is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implements by Tufts University. FSN-IL generates new evidence and disseminates promising technologies and practices supporting uptake of food system innovations that contribute to improved incomes, diet quality, resilience, and nutrition. In support of the United States Government’s Feed the Future initiative on global hunger and food security, FSN-IL facilitates research for development and human and institutional capacity-building activities in low- and middle-income countries.

Our strategic approach includes wide and effective stakeholder engagement across public and private sectors to advance food systems innovations that lead to improved nutrition outcomes. Our consortium of partners includes U.S. universities, global non-profit organizations, and cooperative associations, and is led by the Management Entity at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.
