Charbel Abou Haidar has 15 years of experience working in development programs with international non-governmental organizations. Charbel’s educational background and experience is in agriculture, with a Masters degree in Plant Pathology from the American University of Beirut. Charbel started his work career as a Field Coordinator for the Farmer-to-Farmer Program implemented by ACDI/VOCA in Lebanon. His educational background and years of experience promoted Charbel to the position of Technical Manager for a horticulture program implemented by ACDI/VOCA, training and managing a team of agriculture engineers working on improving agriculture production in soil and soil-less agriculture systems. Charbel joined Land O' Lakes International development in 2013 as a Field Programs Manager for the F2F program in Lebanon that ended in September 2018. Mr. Abou Haidar is currently the Deputy Program Director for the USAID funded Farmer-to-Farmer Food Safety and Quality program (F2F FSQ) in Lebanon, Egypt and Bangladesh, working on improving the food quality and safety practices of processors and producers following the internationally recognized standards to access new markets.
