Ben Fowler
Ben specializes in identifying, implementing and measuring business solutions for positive social impact. Ben is a co-Founder at MarketShare Associates (MSA), a global consulting firm that generates actionable insights for economic development. Ben has worked since 2013 on social impact creation across more than 30 countries, including long-term roles in Kenya and Guatemala. Ben has consulted for private sector consultancies, technology companies, multilateral institutions, and the US and UK governments, among others. He is also one of a select group of auditors for an international social impact measurement auditing standard, the DCED Standard. He has led many large-scale evaluations across a range of topics and authored guidance for USAID on evaluating private sector initiatives. Ben has published thought pieces and conducted webinars for USAID, DFID (now FCDO), the American Evaluation Association, and many others. Ben leads the American Evaluation Association’s Social Impact Measurement topical interest group, where he helps to shape the role that evaluation plays in the impact investing industry. Ben speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Kiswahili.
