Ajay Kumar Mishra

India Associate Scientist-Soil Science International Rice Research Institute

I am currently working as Associate Scientist-Soil Science in International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), New Delhi, India and placed in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. He submitted Ph.D. in Terrestrial Carbon Sequestration under Conservation Agriculture in Indo-Gangetic Plains of India in the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan (2016-2019) and MSc Tech (3-year) in Environmental Science and Technology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, UP, India. He worked at Kyoto University as Research Student from 2015-2016. For a short tenure, he worked as Assistant Professor, Institute of Environmental Studies, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India from 2014-2015. I also worked as a Research fellow in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI), Karnal, Haryana, India from 2011-2014. Mr. Mishra is a versatile researcher with key interests in global climate change, nutrient management, carbon sequestration, rice ecology, soil ecology and pedology, conservation agriculture, agroforestry and designing climate-resilient farming systems. He published more than 30 research papers, ten book chapters and edited two books in international and national repute journals. He is a recipient of several awards and a member of many reputed scientific societies.
