Request For Applications: Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Current and Emerging Threats to Crops

Deadline for submission of proposals is December 14, 2022 at 5:00 PM EST
The Current and Emerging Threats to Crops Innovation Lab (CETC IL) is seeking proposals for innovative, collaborative, locally led research toward mitigating current and emerging threats to crops.
The CETC IL is a five-year collaborative research program implemented by Pennsylvania State University. The program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The lab has been actively engaged with the global community to understand which current and emerging threats to crops are most critical. Through this process, we identified five priority research areas: Roots, Tubers and Bananas; Cereals; Gender and Youth; Climate Change; and Soil Pathogens.
Our Request for Applications outlines an opportunity to submit proposals for funding to conduct research in these priority areas. We will also give consideration to meritorious proposals that focus on challenges beyond these five priorities.
Anticipated Awards: The CETC IL invites researchers to submit proposals for year 2 projects that support the Innovation Lab’s mission and objectives.
- Each proposal may request up to $750,000 and the proposed research must be completed no later than June 2026. You can request smaller amounts for a shorter period of time, for example, $100,000 for one year.
Full proposal packages with completed application materials should be submitted via email to [email protected] by December 14, 2022.
