A Partnership Lookbook for the Market Systems and Partnerships Activity (MSP)

This Lookbook highlights the private sector partnerships around the world that are engaged through USAID's Feed the Future Market Systems and Partnerships (MSP) Activity. As of March 2023, MSP is implementing pay-for-performance partnerships with 11 firms across southern Africa and in Cambodia and the Solomon Islands. This Lookbook provides an overview of each partnership, organized alphabetically by country. It also highlights the objectives of the seven partnership buy-ins with USAID/Missions and USAID/Washington that make these engagements with the private sector possible.
MSP is advancing learning and good practice on market systems development (MSD) and private sector engagement (PSE) within USAID, USAID’s implementers, and market actors. As one component of the Activity, MSP facilitates private-sector partnerships through a global Partnership Facility that creates shared value from the alignment of core business objectives and development goals. More information on the Partnership Facility, including core features of our approach, is available in the Lookbook.
