Amidst the complexities of today’s global challenges, the Geo-Enabling Initiative for Monitoring and Supervision (GEMS) has emerged as a critical solution to enable government clients and development partners in remote monitoring of project implementation, service delivery and supervision. Supported by the Korea Trust Fund for Economic and Peacebuilding Transitions and the World Bank Group Partnership Fund for the Sustainable Development Goals, GEMS is part of the World Bank’s Fragility, Conflict and Violence Group and provides real-time insights into field activities, bridging access and information gaps. It empowers decision-makers to improve project implementation, engage with communities, and manage risks on a global scale. GEMS tools help government clients build resilient approaches to their development work, enabling adaptive strategies to thrive in the face of adversity.
