Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab: Call for Expressions of Interest Due March 5, 2024
The Food Systems for Nutrition Innovation Lab (FSN-IL) is pleased to invite applications to an Expression of Interest (EOI) titled “Demonstrating the Cost-Effectiveness of Innovation Bundles to Support Food Systems Transformation for Nutrition, Food Safety and Reduced Food Loss and Waste,” due March 5, 2024.
FSN-IL is a five-year activity managed by Tufts University and supported by the USAID Bureau for Resilience, Environment and Food Security (RFS). FSN-IL is seeking EOIs from eligible institutions to collaborate on applied research that demonstrates that bundles of innovations can support food systems transformation for nutrition in target geographies at scale.
The objective is to identify partners with experience and expertise in implementing, testing and/or assessing generalizable post-farm gate, market, storage, packaging, cooling and transformation innovations in perishable food value chains. The countries of focus are Bangladesh, Nepal, Malawi and Mozambique.
The application process will consist of three stages:
- Stage 1: Submission of an Expression of Interest that is competitively reviewed.
- Stage 2: Invitation to a co-creation process with FSN-IL.
- Stage 3: Development and submission of a full proposal for competitive review and selection.
Only selected EOIs will proceed into the co-creation process and will develop and submit a full proposal. Following competitive review, full proposals may be funded. For more information and how to apply, please visit the FSN-IL website.
