Rebuilding the Economy through Agriculture

Event Information
Please join us for the World Food Prize Foundation’s 2022 Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue Side Event: Rebuilding the Economy through Agriculture!
Conflicts, the COVID-19 pandemic, and natural disasters are devastating global food systems and local economies, in turn impacting the global economy. As the economic recovery process begins, prioritizing initiatives that increase food security and enable smallholder farmers to mitigate and withstand crises is vital to spearheading a global economic recovery. In this hour-long session, a panel of experts from the private and public sectors will discuss agriculture strategies that accelerate post-crisis rebuilding, drive economic growth and build resilience in the face of challenges, with a focus on Eastern Europe.
