Navigating Market Shocks: Lessons from USAID’s Private Sector Engagement During COVID-19
What strategies did USAID and its implementers use to engage with the private sector during the pandemic? How did these efforts influence firm and market systems resilience, and what lessons should we carry into our work now and in the future?
This webinar, hosted by USAID’s Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Hub, will kick off with a brief presentation of findings from research conducted in 2023 on 30 activities across multiple sectors, geographies, and market contexts. USAID will then host a future-focused panel discussion with reflections and perspectives shared by representatives from USAID/Haiti and implementers in Tunisia and Georgia.
The Feed the Future Market Systems and Partnership Activity (MSP) is pleased to facilitate this event on Thursday, February 22, 2024 9am EST / 5pm EAT, alongside USAID’s PSE Hub.
The research, implemented by MSP through DAI with support from MarketShare Associates, forms the basis of two resources; A Landscape Assessment and a Digital Innovation Roadmap that highlights effective digitalization-driven PSE strategies in response to the pandemic and deep dive case studies in Pakistan, Tunisia, Honduras, and Georgia; digitalization emerged from the Landscape as one leading, effective strategy. Both resources are available here.
