AWE Program Close-out: Lessons Learned on Inclusive Development

Event Information
It is our great pleasure to announce from July 27 to July 28 a series of events showcasing tools, best practices, and examples of how to integrate gender and social inclusion into food and market system programs.
As the Advancing Women’s Empowerment Program draws to a close, we are hosting four events to disseminate what we have learned and the tools created over the past five years.
We will begin with a webinar on July 27 from 9:00–10:30 am EDT discussing why gender and social inclusion matters in food and market systems programming from private sector and development perspectives. Speakers will discuss how they were able to maximize profit, address gender-based violence, and reach development goals through increased social inclusion. The forum will also provide tools, best practices, and field integration examples.
Following the forum, we will have three weeks of an interactive forum where we will host deep-dive discussions with subject-matter experts on:
- Improving decision-making in food and market systems programs: July 10–14
- Improving gender and social inclusion in beyond production activities: July 17–21
- Addressing and preventing GBV in food and market systems programs: July 24–28
If you already receive our newsletter or have attended any of our learning series events, you will automatically receive an invitation link to all events. If this is your first time joining our events, please register for the July 27 webinar using the link.
We look forward to sharing all we have learned with you!
