Food Security on the Frontline: Small Scale Agroecological Approaches for the COVID-19 Response and Beyond

Event Information
Dear colleagues,
In follow up to the event, please see the recording here. Thank you to all those who attended and participated in engaging discussion!
Dear colleagues,
Please join SCALE and a team of practitioners from Danish Refugee Council, African Women Rising, the International Rescue Committee and Helen Keller International on Wednesday, May 6 from 9:30-11 AM ET for an interactive discussion on Food Security on the Frontline: Small Scale Agroecological Approaches for the COVID-19 Response and Beyond. Drawing on experiences from Uganda to Vietnam and across our global FFP community, we’ll explore what makes a garden resilient and key approaches for establishing them in fragile contexts.
In breakout sessions, we’ll dive deeper into how the COVID-19 crisis is impacting gardening activities and discuss practical solutions to urgent challenges, including disruptions to agricultural markets, inputs and technical assistance. Throughout the call and breakout groups, we will crowdsource strategies and resources to overcome these hurdles and will begin drafting guidance for supporting household gardens throughout the current pandemic and beyond.
Notes and resources from the event will be shared on the FSN Network Forum.
