AMEA workshop for defining professional farmer organizations
Event Information
We are pleased to invite you to the Agribusiness Market Ecosystem Alliance (AMEA) workshop on defining professional farmer organizations on 20 March 2018, hosted by IFC in Washington, D.C. from 9:00 to 12:30. This will be followed by a networking lunch from 12:30 to 13:30.
The workshop will introduce participants to the International Workshop Agreement (IWA) process to develop the global definition for professional farmer organizations. Additionally, the current thinking on the core capacities that define a professional farmer organization will be presented.
As the global definition forms a key element of AMEA’s Standardized Approach, participants will also be introduced to AMEA’s approach to advancing professional farmer organizations.
As a key stakeholder in the field of capacity-building in the agricultural sector, we believe that you can provide valuable input on how to define professional farmer organizations. By the end of the workshop, you will have a clear understanding of the global definition and how to officially participate in the IWA process.
As space is limited and security is strict at the IFC building, your early confirmation of attendance is greatly appreciated. Kindly complete the registration form for the workshop by no later than March 15th, 2018 – C.O.B. The registration form also contains links to FAQs and additional information on the event and the IWA process.
