How do I...
Manage my Profile?
1. To create an account, click the "Join Agrilinks" button at the top of the page (below the blue Feed the Future banner), or the "Create an account" button below the main navigation menu.

2. Complete all required fields marked with a red asterisk, including: username, email address, first name, last name, country, privacy policy, and security question. Please do not use your email address as your username.
3. Click "Create new account" button.
- Click the "Log in" button featured at the top of every page on Agrilinks (below the blue Feed the Future bar).
- Enter your username or email address and password.
- Click the "Log in" button.
If you are not logged in, start with Step #1. If you are logged in, start with step #4.

4. Click on your username in the black bar below the Feed the Future banner. A drop down box will appear.
5. On the right side of the box you will see the "Groups" list. Under the groups header you will find all the groups that you have signed up for.

- You will be taken to edit your profile. Select the "Account" button.
- Enter your current password in the "Current password" field.

- Scroll down and click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
- Click the "Log in" button featured at the top of every page on Agrilinks (below the blue Feed the Future bar).
- On the log in popup, click the "Forgot Password?" link.
- Enter your username or email address.
- Click the "Send" button.

Would you like to get the word out about an event or training opportunity related to agriculture or food security?
Step 1: Log in to Agrilinks or create an account (see FAQ above for help creating an account).
Step 2: After you have logged in, click here to access the submission form. You can also access the form by clicking the "Events" tab in the main site navigation. Then click the "+ New Event" button in the right-hand sidebar.
Step 3: Complete the form. Required fields are marked with an *asterisk.
- *Title: Name of your event.
- *Event Date: List the event date and time. The date field follows the format month/date/year. The time field uses a 12-hour clock. The option to enter your time zone will be added soon.
- Registration Deadline: If your event has a registration deadline, please enter it here. Otherwise, leave the field blank.
- *Description: This is where you tell people what your event/training is about. If there is important information about registration deadlines or event fees, also include it here.
- Event image: Upload an event image.
- Event format: What kind of event are you posting? Select from conference, training, seminar and more.
- Event host: Please include the host organization name. You can enter multiple hosts.
- Sectors: Tag your event with the appropriate topic area(s).
- Region: Tag your event with the appropriate region(s).
- Populations: Tag your event with the appropriate population(s).
- Program cycle: Tag your event with the appropriate program cycle(s).
- Event Link: Use this field to link to more information about the event on your website. Please test the URLs to guarantee functionality and use a "permalink" or URL path that is permanent.
- Activity: If your event is related to an Activity on Agrilinks, please select the corresponding Activity.
- Related content: Use this field to select the Agrilinks pages that you want to show in a list as being related to your event.
- *Location: Enter the event location information.
Step 4: Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the form.
Your submissions will be visible on the Agrilinks website after being reviewed and published by a moderator. If you need to edit or update your submissions, please contact the Agrilinks team.

- Search the Agrilinks Library to locate the resource on which you would like to comment.
- Open the resource preview page.
- Scroll to the comment box at the bottom of the page.
- Enter required fields, including your comment.
- Click "Preview" to review your comment or "Save" to submit it.

- *Title
- Short Teaser: This shows up in various advertising blocks throughout the site.
- *Body: Think of this as the abstract or executive summary for the document and keep it short.
- Library Series
- Sectors: Tag your event with the appropriate topic area(s).
- Region: Tag your event with the appropriate region(s).
- Populations: Tag your event with the appropriate population(s).
- Program cycle: Tag your event with the appropriate program cycle(s).
- Resource Type: What kind of resource are you posting? Choose from publication, guidance document, tool, and more.
- Activity: If your event is related to an Activity on Agrilinks, please select the corresponding Activity.
- Homepage teaser image: This image will appear alongside the publication title on the homepage under the "New on Agrilinks" block. Please resize your image to 85 x 85 pixels, otherwise it will be automatically resized.
- Related content: Use this field to select the Agrilinks pages that you want to show in a list as being related to your resource.
"Author/Publication Info" Tab
- Author, Organizational Author, Institution: You have the option to enter a person's name, an organizational author and/or an institutional sponsor (e.g. United States Agency for International Development if USAID is the funder).
- Published Date
"Resources" Tab
On this page you can add multiple resources. For example, you can add both a PDF file and a link.
- Resource format: Your selection in this field will be listed at the top of the page.
- File Upload: If you want up load your resource directly to Agrilinks, post it here. PDFs are preferable.
- External Link: If your resource is already posted to an external site, you can link directly to it by including the page title and the URL. Please test the URLs to guarantee functionality and use a "permalink" or URL path that is permanent.
- Audio Upload
- Screencast Directory & Title: This is used by the Agrilinks team for some event recordings. Please disregard this field.
Step 4: Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the form.

Participate in an Event?
1. Log in or create an account. To create an account, click the "Join Agrilinks" button at the top of the page, below the blue Feed the Future banner. Fill out the brief form, then verify your email to complete the account creation process.
2. Go to the AgExchange or e-Consultation event page, accessible from the Events page or from your event invitation.
3. Click on "Request Membership."

4a. If the event is open to the public, you will be asked to confirm that you want to join the group. Click "Join."
4b. If the event is moderated, the event organizer will review your request and you will be notified if your membership request is approved.
After you have confirmed that you want to join AgExchange or e-Consultation, you will return to the event landing page where you will see the agenda for the various topics by day.

First, log in to Agrilinks.
To comment on a discussion topic, click on the link to the specific day's discussion. Here you can see the comment stream where you can post a new comment or reply to a comment by clicking on the respective buttons. Type your comment into the box that appears and click "Post Comment."
Once you've joined the group, you will also receive emails containing the comments of other participants. You can reply to these by email and your comments will be automatically posted back to the AgExchange or e-Consultation page and emailed out to the others joining the discussion. Please note: You cannot change the frequency of emails from the group. If you join the event, you will receive an email for each new post.
Tips for Participation
- Sign in any time: The discussion will happen 24-7. Log-on when you can or participate via email. From your home, the office, between different time-zones, and from around the world... it’s easy to share your experiences!
- Participate online or via email: Contributing to the discussion is easy! Sign in to Agrilinks to post online or reply directly to the discussion emails you receive to have your comments automatically posted to the site.
- Stay away from Microsoft Word: When posting, please avoid pasting text from Microsoft Word. Pasted text may not display properly in email notifications.
- Don’t be shy: Everyone has something valuable to say. So whether you’re just starting out or an industry veteran, don’t be afraid to share your thoughts, opinions, and experiences.
- Not receiving messages? Check your spam or junk mail folders to be sure you're not missing out on the discussion. Set your email to make sure that email discussions go directly to your inbox.
- Sharing resources: Have a valuable resource to share with the community? Please send all resources as attachments to agrilinks@agrilinks.org. Your resource will be posted online and participants will be notified via email.
- Make your voice heard: Please remember to include your name and organization in your discussion comments so that your fellow participants know with whom they're learning and sharing.
- Update your profile: Let us know who you are! Before the discussion, consider uploading a profile picture and filling in some information in your Agrilinks user profile to create a more personalized discussion space.
- Get to know your facilitators: Information about facilitators for the AgExchange/e-Consultation is available by clicking on the "Facilitators" tab from the main e-Consultation webpage.
- New resources will continuously be added to the "Resources" section available through the main AgExchange/e-Consultation webpage.
- Provide valuable feedback: You will have the opportunity to share your thoughts about the AgExchange/e-Consultation through a short survey at the end of the event. Don’t worry, it takes less than five minutes but provides our team with important feedback so that we can improve future events.

You can sign up for an Agrilinks seminar and other Agrilinks-hosted events directly on the event page.If you wish to attend in-person, click on the “Register – In Person” button to open the short sign-up form. If you are a Agrilinks member and are logged in, your email address and name will fill in automatically. Simply check the “In person” box, add your organization, and click “Sign up.” If you are not a site member, you can add this information manually.To register to attend remotely via webinar, click on the “Register - Webinar” button. This will redirect you to a new page on the Adobe Connect system where you can create a password and fill in your professional details. Please save your password and remember which email address you use to register as this will be your user name.
Registration: Agrilinks webinars are held on the Adobe Connect platform. To register for a specific webinar, you can find the registration link either on the event page or in the event invitation. Accessing the webinar: To access the webinar from your computer at the time of the event, use the link sent to you in your confirmation email and enter your email address as your user name and the password you created when you registered. A new browser window should open for the webinar.
You can also join the webinar from many web-enabled mobile devices, including Android phones, Blackberry PlayBook tablets, or Apple iPhones and iPads. To do so, you will need to download the free Adobe Connect Mobile App. Learn more »
For first-time users: If you have never used Adobe Connect before, we recommend joining the session a few minutes early to test your audio and run the Audio Setup Wizard (available from the Meeting menu). By default, all participants will hear the audio through computer speakers. For the best quality, please connect to the webinar using a hard-line internet connection.
Only the facilitators and presenters will be speaking during the webinar but all participants will be able to text chat using a dedicated chat box during the presentation. Please use the chat box to contribute your questions and comments at any time throughout the presentation.

There are many resources available following an Agrilinks event, including screencasts, presentation files, audio recordings and transcripts, video interviews with the presenters, blog post summaries of the event, and other related resources. These resources are all compiled in the Agrilinks Library.There are many ways to find these resources, including the following:
- If you registered for or attended the event, you will receive an email with resource links from Agrilinks as soon as they are all finalized and posted on the site.
- From the specific event page, you can click on the “Event Resources” button.
- For a few weeks following the posting of the resources, they will be highlighted as features at the top of the Agrilinks homepage. Click on the image for the relevant event to be redirected to the appropriate Library page.
