As described in the Feed the Future Results Framework, the high-level goal of the Feed the Future initiative is to sustainably reduce poverty and hunger as measured through the prevalence of poverty and stunted/underweight children. The purpose of this webinar was to provide an overview of the purpose, history, and methodology for setting aspirational targets for reducing the prevalence of poverty in each Feed the Future focus country’s zone of influence. The webinar also provided useful tools for setting poverty reduction targets and walk participants through a country-specific example. The methodologies for setting goal-level targets were developed by the Bureau for Food Security (BFS), in consultation with the Bureaus for Economic Growth, Education and Environment (E3) and Global Health (GH). A separate webinar on nutrition target guidance will be issued in the coming weeks.
