Doing Mobile Tech for Ag Better: A New Handbook to Help
Event Information
All over the world, the development community is abuzz about the potential for using mobile phones to improve development outcomes. With around half of the world’s population already owning a mobile phone, and phone and access prices continuing to drop, the potential for integrating mobiles into development projects along the entire agricultural value chain is certainly promising. The aggregate statistics, however, only tell a small part of the story. The reality is that using mobiles effectively requires a nuanced understanding of that potential coupled with deliberate and thoughtful planning.
Join us to learn about the new Integrating Mobiles into Development Projects Handbook and how it can help you to better design mobile-enabled agricultural projects and solicitations, assess proposals, monitor project implementation, and evaluate the effectiveness of mobiles to improve project outcomes. The handbook was developed with funding and guidance from USAID’S Regional Development Mission for Asia, with input from USAID’s Digital Development team.
